Demolition News

  http://www.demolitionnews.com/2009/10/06/guest-blog-stay-warm-stay-safe-2/

As the nights draw in and the icy fingers of ground frost begin to tighten their grip on demolition sites across the country, Active Workwear takes a timely look at what the well-dressed (and warm) operative will be wearing this winter.

There was a time, in the not too distant past, when in demolition circles the term work wear meant a tatty pair of jeans topped with an ill-fitting t-shirt and a lumberjack-style shirt that could stand up under its own weight coupled with the ubiquitous tatty trainer shoes.

But as demolition contractors have evolved to take site welfare and worker health more seriously, so the working wardrobe of the average demolition operative has changed to encompass designer-style safety glasses or goggles, high visibility t-shirts, and safety gloves made from high-tech "breathable" fabrics and Gore-Tex safety boots for example.
But never is the need for proper work wear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) more apparent than in the dark days and early nights of a British winter. And in an enlightened age where it’s not uncommon for demolition contractors to provide sun screen for their site workers during the three and a half days that make up the British summer, the time has come for many contractors and their staff to take a closer look at some of the latest winter work wear products on offer.

Of course, one of the key challenges faced when selecting work wear is that it needs to fit correctly and that it allows the wearer to move freely. This becomes more problematic during winter months when workers are inclined to layer items of clothing on top of each other to keep the bitter wind at bay.
The first line in defence against the cold is usually a high visibility jacket, and there is a huge array available, many of them with detachable linings that can be worn as a light jacket during the summer and then upgraded to fend off the rain and snow in winter.

However, as anyone that has worn a high vis’ jacket for any length of time will testify, they soon become hot and uncomfortable. At this point, they are often discarded by the wearer, freeing his movement but immediately contravening site safety regulations.

To address this, we have developed a range of high visibility sweatshirts and even hoodies. Not only do these ensure that operatives remain visible and safe if they remove their coat, they’re also extremely popular with younger and less experienced operatives. Many view the hoodies in particular as vaguely trendy and are, therefore, more inclined to wear them.

The range of work wear clothing available may seem overwhelming but with good advice from a trustworthy supplier you and your staff will be safe warm and dry.

It is interesting to note that many of these items share many characteristics with the clothing worn by athletes and footballer players, allowing the skin to "breathe" and drawing perspiration away from the body. This is particularly important during the winter months as it helps reduce the risk of rapid cooling of the body, a key contributor to the common cold and, therefore, absence through sickness. A good base layer garment is essential such as the old favourite long johns.

The choices of base layer thermal garments are now truly bewildering with all the major manufacturers providing them.
Another common problem during the winter months is the inclination to wear a woollen or thermal hat under a hard hat. This does a great job of keeping the wearer’s head and face warm but it can make the hard hat ill-fitting and, therefore, less safe. But there is a wide range of winter liners available that are warm enough to keep the chill wind out, but thin enough to ensure that hard hats fit snugly and safely.

Gloves, or more accurately high visibility gloves, are also becoming an increasingly common site on UK demolition sites. Not only do they offer an additional level of visibility and protection, they’re also easy to spot in the mud and are far less likely to get lost and require replacement.

They may cost slightly more, but the chances are you’ll need less of them!

To conclude, I would offer the following advice:

Discuss the importance of workwear and PPE as part of your company or site’s Toolbox Talk

In addition to checking that they’re wearing hard hats and high vis’ check to ensure that your operatives workwear is suitable for the job AND the climate

Ensure that operatives have ready access to spare or replacement workwear and PPE, and bear in mind that some contractors, sites or industries have specific requirements on colour of workwear and PPE.

TESTED TO WORK slogan is more than just an anagram. It is also the fundamental work philosophy behind MASCOT as a company. We set high standards for ourselves with regard to being TESTED TO WORK in all areas of production, service and appearance. We carry out stringent controls right from the selection of raw materials and dyeing of fabrics, to production and dispatch. Likewise, we issue constant controls and set high standards for our suppliers, production facilities and distributors.

We also require ourselves to be TESTED TO WORK in dealing with our daily challenges. It is only through rigorous controls and professionalism in all areas that we can ensure and maintain the high standards MASCOT's products are known for. MASCOT Workwear off to Work Each piece of workwear is tested in every way possible before it is released for sale.

Recommendations from users and industries Users from a wide range of industries are invited by MASCOT to join a discussion. Participants are chosen to represent several age groups and job functions. By doing so, new requirements and trends among users are identified, and this information is used in the next phase during the conceptualisation of new products. Materials are tested in actual work situations Test garments are sewn up further on in the development stage. As an example, this can be a pair of trousers with one type of fabric used on one leg and another type of fabric used on the other leg.

T he members of our test team use the test garment for a period of time, after which exhaustive interviews are conducted to discuss the users' experience with the fabric and its properties. Function and fit tested on the job Once the fabric is chosen, function and fit is then tested. New products are sewn up and the members of our test team undertake a new round of tests where the garments are used in their everyday work.

A journal is kept during the test period while the garments are subjected to normal wear and tear, as well as regular wash. Hereafter, recommendations for changes and adjustments are reported back to MASCOT who will then interpret the feedbacks from the users.

It is only when all adjustments are undertaken that the final design can be put into production. This way, MASCOT ensures that products are TESTED TO WORK before they are put out for sale.

1. Employees look smarter and work better

Corporate uniform clothing from Active Workwear and Work wear that works is a fantastic way to make your company look professional. See how corporate clothing from Active Workwear will enhance your company’s image. Insisting that all staff wear similar clothes or uniforms ensures that all employees look smartly dressed and presentable at all times.
2. Improved customer perception

Corporate clothing especially the Helly Ashford range are ideal for those in public facing roles, such as shop workers, warehouse staff, field based engineers, support staff, delivery drivers and much more. Your customers should certainly notice the difference!
3. No “unsuitable” clothing

Corporate uniform clothing ensures that there is no “unsuitable” work wear which could perhaps jeopardise the image of the company if seen by customers or the public, or even more seriously, risk the health and safety of employees. Just imagine no more “amusing” novelty clothing in the office, or 20 year old rock band Tee shirts on a building site.
4. Durability The correct corporate clothing from Active Workwear is durable and hard wearing. This makes it cost effective. Depending on the role of the wearer, clothing may need to be reinforced or have additional pockets or features, or provide extra warmth or waterproof capabilities. Office based corporate clothing is different to corporate clothing for those in construction or who work on an oil rig or a ship.

5. Appropriate Depending on your industry, you may need clothing to meet international safety or performance standards, or to meet certain criteria. Choosing dedicated work wear from Active Workwear will ensure that all items of clothing are suitable. For example, trades people will need work trousers that have many pockets for carrying items, and reinforced knee areas or knee pads to provide additional comfort and safety. Those who work in a call centre may just need a polo shirt or Oxford work shirt. For those working outdoors in winter, the right combination of layers and technical material can make the difference between carrying out a job properly, and suffering from frostbite or worse.

6. Free advertising

Branded clothing from work wear that works can also act like an advert for your company. How many people do your staff see each day? Other passengers on the same bus or train, other drivers, customers on site, and those in the shop on the way home from work are just a few of the many people who will be exposed to your brand on a daily basis. It’s an excellent way of promoting your products or services.

7. Corporate colours
Corporate uniform clothing from workwear that works ensures that all staff are dressed the same. This can help with your corporate identity, and make you look more professional. How efficient would your company look if a team of painters and decorators turned up in matching corporate clothing, instead of old jeans and worn out T shirts ! As an authorised supplier of Helly Hansen work wear "Helly Hansen Online" offers a small but perfectly formed selection of protective clothing. The website has been designed to give our customers instant access to see and order our current Helly range available to buy online. As we enter winter, the number of visits to the store searching for Helly Hansen winter jackets has soared. Two of our latest additions are flying off the shelves; the Einbeck Parka and the Helly Hansen Hammerdal jacket. The Einbeck Parka is popular as a waterproof jacket, and the hammerdal is a great jacket for work yet stylish enough to be an everyday fashion jacket as well.

PPE is defined in the Regulations as ‘all equipment (including clothing affording protection against the weather) which is intended to be worn or held by a person at work and which protects him against one or more risks to his health or safety’, eg safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and safety harnesses. Hearing protection and respiratory protective equipment provided for most work situations are not covered by these Regulations because other regulations apply to them. However, these items need to be compatible with any other PPE provided. What are the key points? The Regulations require PPE to be: properly assessed before use to ensure its suitability for the work being done; maintained and stored properly; provided with adequate instruction on how to use it safely; and worn correctly by the user. Full details on the revised guidance on the law and regulations relating to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Work Regulations 1992) can be found at the Health &amp; Safety Executive website

Personal Protective Equipment

Waterproof - Helly Tech® Everybody who works outdoors knows the challenge. You want clothes that protect against the rain, snow and sleet but let you stay dry and comfortable all day. That is why Helly Hansen Workwear developed Helly Tech®, the unique fabric system used in their collection of waterproof, breathable garments. The garments in the Helly Tech® collection release condensation and perspiration, while keeping rain and snow out. Helly Tech® fabrics are constructed either with a thin film that transports moisture or by applying several thin layers of polymers to the reverse side of the fabric. For all practical purposes both systems work well. They are equally efficient at releasing body moisture. At the same time the micro pores in the fabric are too small for water molecules to penetrate from outside. All seams are sealed to ensure that the whole garment is waterproof. Warm - Crafter Fleece™ Fleece jackets and sweaters form a thermal layer under the protective layer of a jacket. However they can also be used as outer clothing on cool days. Crafter Fleece™ garments keep you warm by trapping body heat between the fleece fibres. At the same time, the fabric releases excess heat and provides good ventilation. Micro Fleece Half the weight of normal fleece which make them ideal for indoor and office situations or additional insulation for existing insulated garments.

Helly Materials

Helly Hansen Size Guide

Dry,Warm,Safe At work with HH Workwear.

Helly Hansen A Brief History:

130 years ago captain Helly Juell Hansen started to produce waterproof clothing for sailors.

Since then Helly Hansen has been a pioneer in the development of high quality protective technical wear for work and leisure activities.

Our experience and competence allow us to create and produce clothing to be worn in extreme work situations, where quality and functionality directly affect the wearer’s well being, health and safety.

Helly Hansen Workwear also provides a wide range of tailor made solutions within textile engineering.

the Helly Hansen 3 Layer Principles

  BASE LAYER - BODYWEAR

How to avoid sweating and freezing during high energy work at cold temperatures?

Polypropylene baselayer fibres do not absorb moisture. Body Perspiration is transported away from the body. T he body stays dry and warm.

WELL-BEING, PRODUCTIVITY AND CONCENTRATION ARE ALL ADVERSELY AFFECTED IF WE GET TOO WARM OR COLD. DRESSING CORRECTLY STARTS BY CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE UNDERWEAR. HELLY HANSEN WORKWEAR HAS DEVELOPED THE LARGEST AND BEST COLLECTION OF WORKWEAR UNDERWEAR TO KEEP YOU DRY, WARM AND COMFORTABLE IN ALL CONDITIONS.

When you are physically active your body produces heat and moisture. If your body becomes too hot, it feels uncomfortable and your ability to concentrate is impaired. At the same time, if you perspire and your underwear becomes wet, the risk of excessive heat loss is high. So during varied activities in cold conditions you are likely to become too warm and then too cold, depending on the intensity of activity.

    In summertime, too
This also happens in summer when temperatures are higher. Heat and perspiration can often feel uncomfortable and irritating. Reduced comfort at work will affect your well-being and efficiency. At the same time we know that your ability to concentrate is impaired even by small changes in body temperature. Keeping comfortable, warm and dry is therefore also important for safety reasons.

    Years of experience
For several decades Helly Hansen Workwear has developed underwear for extreme sports and expeditions. Based on this experience we have launched Helly Hansen Bodywear, a unique workwear underwear collection. Helly Hansen Bodywear is made from polypropylene and absorbs no moisture, provides excellent ventilation and pushes perspiration away from the body. As a result you avoid cooling down during breaks or periods of lower work intensity – and you stay dry, warm and comfortable.

    Let conditions guide your choice
Not all underwear is equal, and different fabrics perform well in different conditions. You should take into account temperature, intensity of physical activity and the duration of the job when choosing underwear. Helly Hansen Base layer Bodywear’s ability to transport moisture makes it the best choice for hard and varied activity in moderately cold conditions, or for those who move regularly between indoors and outside work.
Wool absorbs more moisture than polypropylene, but has excellent insulating properties. Helly Hansen Wool base layer is recommended for moderate to low activity in severe cold.

Can fleece stand the wear and tear at work?

HH Crafter Fleece is extremely hardwearing and durable. Insulates. Ventilates. And looks smart at work.

IN WINTER IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE EXTRA INSULATION BETWEEN YOUR UNDERWEAR AND OUTER CLOTHES. DURING STRENUOUS ACTIVITY YOU SHOULD ALSO DRESS TO AVOID PERSPIRING AND BECOMING TOO WARM. CRAFTER FLEECE PROVIDES GOOD INSULATION, ALONG WITH EFFICIENT MOISTURE TRANSPORTATION AND WIND RESISTANCE.

Fibre pile, which provides very good insulation, is recommended for cold days with a low or moderate activity level. However many people find that they become too hot and start to perspire when temperatures are moderate and the work is intensive. On days like this Helly Hansen Workwear’s Crafter Fleece comes into its own.

    Warm and dry
Fleece jackets and sweaters form the thermal layer under the protection layer.
They can also be used as outer clothing on cool days. Crafter Fleece garments keep you warm by trapping body heat between the fleece fibres. At the same time, the fabric releases excess heat and provides good ventilation.

    High comfort
Crafter Fleece is made of spun polyester yarn which has been brushed and h eat processed. Because the fibres are synthetic, they do not retain moisture so the garments dry quickly and resist light rain and snow. Warmth in relation to weight is very good, resulting in light, functional garments. Our attention to design and comfort also makes Crafter Fleece™ sui table for indoor use.

Helly Hansen 720 42 KINGSTON SWEATER

Fast dry “Micro fleece” these days are credited as being the “ New School ” replacement to the common cotton sweat shirt. Micro Fleece is lighter and warmer, more durable and more comfortable, an ideal fleece weight to decorate with a company Logo, making them an everyday popular choice.

    Soft Shell

3 PLY FABRIC PROVIDING INSULATION, WINDBLOCK &amp; BREATHABILITY. WATERPROOF FABRIC, UN-TAPED SEAMS.

SOFT SHELL IS A VERSATILE FABRIC FOR YEAR-AROUND USE. IT IS ABRASION RESISTANT AND WATER REPELLENT ON THE OUTSIDE. THERE IS A WINDPROOF, WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE MEMBRANE IN THE MIDDLE, WITH FLEECE ON THE INSIDE. SOFT SHELL IS IDEAL CLOTHING FOR WORK AND CORPORATE WEAR.

       Helly Hansen 74002 MADRID JACKET

The Madrid Jacket is a state of the art Windproof Fleece - which we call “Softshell”
Madrid jackets can give your team or company 21st century presentation and a high level of protection from the wind and rain. “Softshell” is distinctive and contemporary in look and is regarded as the “ New School ” of fleece garments.

  HELLY TECH

Can 100% waterproof clothing let moisture from the inside evaporate and escape?

HH Helly Tech work clothing has a membrane that lets moisture evaporate from the inside , while water molecules on the outside will not pass through the waterproof membrane.

THERE IS A GROWING NEED FOR WATERPROOF WORKING CLOTHES THAT ALSO TRANSPORT PERSPIRATION. THE REASON IS OBVIOUS: THEY ARE IDEAL FOR WORKING OUTDOORS. THEY KEEP YOU DRY AND COMFORTABLE ALL DAY – IN THE SUN, THE SNOW AND THE RAIN. AT HELLY HANSEN WORKWEAR, WE HAVE BEEN MAKING CLOTHING LIKE THIS FOR YEARS, USING OUR UNIQUE HELLY TECH FABRIC SYSTEM.

Everybody who works outdoors knows the challenge. You want to keep dry in rain, snow and sleet, yet avoid perspiration and condensation. That is why Helly Hansen Workwear developed Helly Tech®, the unique fabric system used in our collection of waterproof, breathable garments. Today Helly Tech® garments are worn by workers in large and small companies all over the world. They include the Italian Railways, the Danish Postal Service and the Norwegian Police and Armed forces.

    Keeps you Dry
The garments in the Helly Tech collection release condensation and perspiration, while keeping rain and snow out. More than 20 years of experience with waterproof clothes that transport moisture, in addition to a thorough knowledge of materials and design, has ensured the production of first-class garments.

Helly Tech®-fabrics are constructed either with a thin film that transports moisture or by applying several thin layers of polymers to the reverse side of the fabric. For all practical purposes both systems work well. They are equally efficient at releasing body moisture. At the same time the micro pores in the fabric are too small for water molecules to penetrate from outside. All seams are sealed to ensure that the whole garment is waterproof.

      Superior in Tests
Our know-how is demonstrated in our choice of the best materials and most advanced construction techniques. Yet it is still important for us to adapt the clothes to different working conditions and requirements from the various industries. So, we offer Helly Tech®-garments with different degrees of functionality at varying price ranges

  Our Story

It all begins with a true story. Frustration and anger leads to an innovation, which in turn, creates a company. This is what makes Snickers so special, a true story from real life:
From 1959 to 1972 the founder of Snickers, Matti Viio , worked as an electrician - first building high tension lines and then installing domestic and industrial wiring. Technologically, a great deal happened in those years. Materials and tools evolved, as did the working methods.
One thing didn't change: work wear. They were still just the same as in the mid-nineteenth century. They may have been fine in those days, but after more than a hundred years people's needs and requirements had changed. Work wear failed to fulfill these modern requirements and were no longer considered practical or comfortable.

Manufacturers showed no interest in the "worker's" real needs. Several times Matti Viio suggested modifications, no one listened. In the end, he lost his temper and got angry as hell.

“One day, I went home from work and designed my own garments to work in! That was my protest against the established work wear industry. I wanted to show that we workers have pride and know-how, and that our need of respect is the same as that of all other groups in society.” (Matti Viio).

Today the spirit of Snickers Workwear is the same as it was when the company began. Snickers Workwear has always aimed and suceeded in solving functional problems for professional needs. A combination of professional know-how, pride and self-esteem has provided us with the successful product range we know and love today.

Standards to keep you warm and dry

Helly Hansen make workwear that comes under the definition of personal protective equipment (PPE), and so it is manufactured and marked in accordance with CE marking regulations (EN standards). Their working clothes are intended to protect against accidents or injuries when working under conditions involving cold, heat, flame, rain and reduced visibility.

The regulations are directed from the EU; these directives classify PPE into three categories:

Category 1 covers the lowest level of PPE. The user is assumed to assess the needs for protection himself, and there is a limited risk of severe consequences of not using appropriate clothing. The products under this category are self declared by the marketer to comply with the standards. HH products under this category are waterproof clothing (EN 343) and clothing protecting against cold (EN 342).

Category 2 covers products intended to be used in environments with risk for severe, but not fatal consequences (not category 1 nor 3). The products must be tested and certified by a notified body. Products under this category are flame retardant clothing (EN 531/533, clothing for high visibility (EN 471) and lifejackets (EN 395, 396 and 399) and buoyancy aids (EN 393).

Category 3 covers products and environments where the user can be exposed to mortal danger or to dangers that may seriously and irreversibly harm health.

Product Performance
The CE mark is visible proof that the product complies with performance standards set out in the directive, for a product of such nature. It does not an assurance that the product will prevent risk of accidents or severe injuries when the user is exposed to such risks in a working environment.

Legislation relating to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Work Regulations 1992) can be found at the Health &amp; Safety Executive website.

Polyester provides superior durability, while cotton ensures a high level of comfort. We combine the two materials so that our customers can benefit from both advantages.
<SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-font-kerning: .5pt">
Traditional working clothes are made of a twill fabric which far exceeds industrial standards of durability and wear resistance. This has prompted our designers to develop a broad range of functional and comfortable twill garments that also allow optimal freedom of movement. The garments are designed to make the working day as simple and practical as possible. They incorporate the Helly Hansen Workwear Tradesman Pocket System, with solid, moveable pockets with loops - a feature unique to Helly Hansen.

Different types of pockets and fasteners can easily be clicked onto the most appropriate places on the workwear. This system provides increased flexibility and access to important electronic tools such as instruments and communication devices, as well as traditional tools. As the pockets can be fastened anywhere, you can tailor your working clothes to suit your own needs. This collection is a result of technology playing an increasing role in our everyday lives. click.on is made from high tech fabrics such as Cordura and Thinsulate, which look good and are lightweight, wear resistant and durable. click.on combines the best of two worlds.

Questions and Answers

Q: Does the choice of colour matter?
To be effective HV clothing should be of a colour that will allow the wearer to stand out against the ambient background found in the working environment. In practice the best colours for this purpose are likely to be day-glo, or fluorescent yellow. Q: Apart from colour what else promotes visibility?
Where necessary the clothing should also incorporate retroreflective material to make the wearer visible when seen in headlights in poor lighting conditions or during darkness. This may require reflective strips at or below waist level on waistcoats or jackets, or strips on trousers. Q: How much HV clothing is needed?
As a rule: the darker the conditions or worksite, the greater the amount of HV clothing required. Q: What if I work near machinery?
People working in warehouses may find that some types of loose fitting tabard may snag on moving machinery parts. The workplace environment should always be considered when choosing style and type of clothing? Q: What if conditions are too hot?
HV clothing should be comfortable and fit the wearer properly. It should cause the minimum of restriction in the wearers movement. HV coats may be too warm in summer months, in which case, waistcoats or overalls with the appropriate HV qualities are cooler alternatives. Q: What if I have to wear other types of protective clothing as well?
A: If two or more types of PPE are worn, they should not interfere with each other. Therefore, in the case of aircraft servicing staff for example, protective clothing for chemical spills should also provide the necessary level of conspicuity. Similarly, wet or cold weather clothing should have suitable HV qualities or be capable of being worn under HV garments. Q: Are there any recognised standards for HV garments?
A: Yes all HV clothes should be manufactured to a recognised standard. The new British Standard for high visibility warning clothing is BS EN 471. This is a harmonised European standard produced with the legal requirements for PPE in mind. Clothing which conforms to the standard is marked with a pictogram like this:

The first number (X) indicates the class of conspicuity, this depends on the minimum area of conspicuous materials that are incorporated into the clothing, with Class 3 being the best and Class 1 the lowest; the second number (Y) indicates the retroreflection performance with Class 2 being more visible than Class 1 when seen in headlights during darkness. The standard gives specifications for coveralls, jackets, waistcoats, tabards, trousers and harnesses. New clothing must be 'CE' marked to show it meets the new European rules on the manufacture of PPE. Remember: the CE mark only means that the clothing meets the standard. It does not mean it can be used in all situations. HV clothing must be suitable for the actual conditions of use.
Q: Do employers have a responsibility to provide HV clothing?
      A: Employers must:
provide any HV clothing needed for the job free of charge to any employees who may be exposed to significant risks to their safety;
maintain HV clothing in a clean state and in good working order.
check the clothing before being given to employees;
provide storage facilities for clothing when not in use;
provide adequate information, instruction and training to enable employees to use HV clothing correctly. This should include an explanation of the risks, why the clothing is needed, how and when it should be worn;
supervise employees to ensure that they wear the clothing correctly and whenever it is needed.

Q: Do employees have any responsibility with HV clothing?
     Employees should :
wear the HV clothing provided as instructed by your employer
look after clothing issued to you
check for and report any damage or defects to your employer
use the storage facilities provided when the clothing is not in use
Remember: damaged or ill-fitting clothing will not protect you properly

By Helly Hansen Online and Active Workwear

Sales of the Helly Hansen thermal base layers have increased this week obviously winter is now upon us with a vengeance.

At least we were more prepared than the local council gritters who failed dismally to clear or grit anything other than the motorways and the ring road, clearly the jobsworths in charge didnt realise that people have to drive on other roads to get to the main roads total chaos as usual with gridlock everywhere.

The Ashford knee pad work trouser is still a very good seller in the shop and on the interweb most to electricians, still havent worked out why electricians buy most of the stock of the Helly hanson Ashford work trousers.

The Uppsalla jacket and the Hammerdal from H H work wear still continue to sell and are a firm favourite of a lot of tradesmen in the area.

Perhaps they like the "men in black" image with the Helly Ashford trouser in black the Helly Polo shirt in Black and the Helly Hanson Kingston sweater or fleece all in black with a nice black Uppsalla jacket or the favourite 71110 Helly Hansenn Hannover Jacket is a stylish versatile, thin-lined, lightweight jacket ideal for a work jacket , not forgetting the traditional beanie hat obviously in black and then finished off with a nice pair of black leather Dewalt safety boots .

And they have the cheek to say that women shoppers are difficult.

The Hannover is a superb piece of workwear as it is suitable for work in environments that changes from indoor to outdoor. The discrete HH logo makes it a perfect choice to add a secondary logo to promote your own company. This jacket is ideal for the golfers out there and almost all members of our local golf club can be seen most days on the golf course wearing thier Hannover waterproof jacket what happened to work?

For some bizzare reason we seem to have picked up several orders from the States from the internet for the Einbeck parka another design classice from Helly Hanson. The four pocket, longer length keeps more of you dry. The classic style makes the Helly Hansen Einbeck Parka a great winter jacket.

Service crews to film crews, have ensured that these work jackets have seen action all over the world
We have rently sent a shipment of hh clothing and Blaklader work wear trousers , some nice Timberland traditional safety boots along with some super Dewalt Challenger safety boots over to Mambo films in Canada who were filming with Jude Law and wanted some work clothing on set.
Another highlight or a downer of the week was Snickers workwear increase in price which now makes Helly Hansen workwear a very cost effective alternative on price and quality it sint surprising that our Blaklader work wear and Helly hansen work clothes have gone up.

On the special offers section on hellyhansen online we have a range of work wear from the snickers range, the blaklader workwear trousers and also the dewalt work trousers .

The range of blaklader workwear has just been extended with the addition of the XTRM 1500 work trouser and initial sales appear to prove that this blaklader work trouser will become a true best seller.
